In October we had our first EVER event and it was a blast!
On Thursdays from 3pm-6:30pm, the Potomac Village Farmer's Market runs through the end of November. You can find them at 9908 S. Glen Road in Potomac, Maryland. Dumplings by Batik is usually there, but we took over their spot for two weeks and had a blast!

This is your typical farmer's market, with tons of produce and food options, which meant for a small client base... but it was the best way to dip our toes into the market scene. Another small business owner once said to me (loosely quoted), "it's an art -- setting up, packing, being efficient" and boy, is that true! Small events are also a great way to really familiarize yourself with your POS (point of sale), tent/canopy setup, dealing with wind/sunlight angles on signage, and all kinds of things you wouldn't typically think to prepare for.
We would LOVE to do more markets in Maryland. If you have any connections, let us know!
